Women’s Basketball Club representing the Northern Tasmanian Community with pride and providing an a pathway for local basketball talent towards elite competition.
The Heritage Isle Tornadoes, a Women’s Basketball Club, was formed in 1993 and first played in the SEABL competition in 1994. It was formed to provide an opportunity for local female basketball players the opportunity to play in an elite league and to achieve their full potential.
The club is managed by a small group of diversely skilled people and much of the on court success of the team can be attributed to the energetic contribution of the Club’s Board of Management.
The Board has the support of a strong army of volunteers who, collectively, are able to present one of the more professional organisations in the competition.
